Resumen de El instituto nacional de educación física: Una visión histórica

El Instituto Nacional de Educación Física -cuyo artífice y primer director fue Jose María Cagigal-, se creó con el objetivo de formar a los futuros profesores de Educación Física españoles desde una, irrenunciable, vocación universitaria. Estos profesionales serían los responsables de elevar la cultura física y la práctica deportiva de una sociedad que se transformaba imparablemente. Desde el día en que se abrieron sus puertas con la organización del Congreso Mundial de Educación Física y del Deporte, la Institución ha recorrido un largo camino, hasta conseguir alcanzar el reconocimiento universitario y los objetivos académicos para los que fue concebida. En este artículo intentamos realizar una breve –pero completa- historia del INEF de Madrid.

The Physical Education National Institute whose craftsman and first director was José María Cagigal. It was created with the aim of educating to the future Physical Education Spanish teachers with an essential University vocation. These professionals would be responsible for raising physical culture and sport of a society that was being unstoppable tranformed. From the day that its doors were opened with the Organization of the World Congress of physical education and sport, the institution has come a long way, to achieve the University recognition and academic objectives for which it was conceived. In this article we try to perform a brief – but full – history of Madrid INEF.
