  A lo largo del presente artículo se pretende analizar la evolución del sistema educativo en el mundo rural albacetense desde mediados del siglo XVIII hasta los orígenes del constitucionalismo. Para ello, se ha dividido este trabajo en tres partes interrelacionadas. En la primera se profundiza en el conocimiento del número y tipología de las instituciones educativas, su distribución geográfica regional, su financiación y su evolución diacrónica durante el período de estudio seleccionado. La segunda se centra en los actores del proceso, los maestros, con especial atención a su número y su situación económica, profesional y social. Y la tercera está dedicada a las maestras y la enseñanza de las niñas.

  Along this paper, we pretend to analyze the evolution of the educational system in the rural context of Albacete from the middle of the XVIIIth Century to the origins of constitutionalism. In order to do it, we have divided this work in three interrelated parts. In the first one, we go in depth in the knowledge of the number and typology of the educational institutions, its regional geographical distribution, its funding and its diachronic evolution during the selected time period. The second part is focused on the protagonist of the process, the teachers, paying special attention to its number and financial, professional and social situation. The third one is focused on the female teachers and the teaching of female students.
