OBJETIVO: Analizar la autoestima y autoimagen que tienen las puérperas de Sangüesa y Azpilagaña, en relación a los cambios físicos, emocionales y en la sexualidad.
METODOLOGÍA: Estudio observacional, descriptivo, prospectivo.
RESULTADOS: El 40% de mujeres se percibe como �aún no recuperada pero no me veo tan mal�, el 31,4% afirma �me veo igual que siempre�, el 11,4% responde �me veo muy mal, físicamente desestructurada�. Las variables que influyen de manera significativa en la percepción de sí mismas son: �cómo cree que la ve su pareja� (p 0,024), �si cree que su pareja tiene la misma percepción que ella tiene de sí misma� (p 0,004), �si recibe besos, abrazos y caricias de su pareja� (p 0,026) y �cambios percibidos en el deseo� (p 0,034).
CONCLUSIONES: La autoimagen no es negativa pero el nivel de deseo sexual está significativamente disminuido.
OBJECTIVE: To analyse the self-esteem and self-image of postpartum women in Azpilagaña and Sangüesa, in relation to the physical, emotional and sexuality changes.
METHODS: Observational, descriptive, prospective study.
RESULTS: 40% of women perceive themselves as �not yet recovered but not looking that bad �, followed by a 31.4% who report �I see myself as usual�, and a 11.4% who respond �I look terrible, physically devastated�. The variables that significantly influence the perception of themselves are: �How she thinks her partner sees her� (p 0.024), �whether she thinks her partner has the same perception thar she has, of herself� (p 0.004), �whether she receives kisses, hugs and caresses from her partner� (p 0.026) and �perceived changes in desire� (p 0.034).
CONCLUSIONS: Self-image is not negative but the level of sexual desire is largely decreased.
