As Travestis na escola: entre nós e estratégias de resistência

    This article claims to claims to undesrstand the experiences of transvestites at the school context,in Cabo de Santo Agostinho, Pernambuco, Brazill. We will analyse how was the reception of travestites at schcool, considering the aspects that approved and disapproved their stay, presence and permanence there. In that way this article participated on the queers studies; post-colonial studies and feminism and post-struturalism theories,witth Michel Foucault and Judith Butler are fundamentals, Our interlocutors were transvestites, of legal age and residents in Cabo. During the research, they were held four workshops with varying number of participantes. From this instrument, we see many reports both as acceptance of violence at school. The share name and the bathroom appeared invariably impede while staying in the school context.

    Procuramos compreender as experiências das travestis no contexto escolar, a partir de uma pesquisa-intervenção desenvolvida, em 2014, no Cabo de Santo Agostinho-PE. Para tanto, interrogamos como se deu o acolhimento das travestis na escola, considerando os aspectos que favoreciam e desfavoreciam sua permanência. Vale salientar que o nosso olhar foi atravessado pelos estudos queer, pós-colonialistas, feministas e pós-estruturalismo, tendo como referencias primordiais Michel Foucault e Judith Butler. As nossas interlocutoras foram travestis, maiores de idade e residentes no Cabo. Durante a pesquisa, foram realizadas quatro oficinas e número de participantes variável. A partir desse instrumento, observamos relatos diversos tanto de aceitação quanto de violência no espaço escolar. O nome social e o banheiro surgiram, invariavelmente, enquanto impeditivos de permanência no contexto escolar.
