te-re-ja is a puzzling verb form belonging to the same paradigm as the present infinitive te-re-ja-e. In Mycenaean texts this verbal paradigm is only attested in these two forms. This verb is a derivative from a noun *te-re-ja1. We know three other forms related to the same root, a toponym te-re-ja-2, an agent noun te-re-ta, as well as an anthroponym te-re-ja-wo3. Regarding its meaning, te-re-ja(-e) is related to landholding4, and surely refers to the fulfilment of some obligation5.
