    En el siguiente articulo queremos mostrar la importancia que tuvo el rio de la Villa para la pequena mad.na/villa/ciudad de Antequera (provincia de Malaga) durante el periodo medieval, nazari y castellano. Su papel de abastecer a la poblacion, regar los campos y mover molinos, se produce a traves de determinadas estructuras, aunque de modo insuficiente. Las transformaciones tras la conquista cristiana en 1410, por ampliacion, que no por abandono, coinciden con el tardio aumento demografico de finales del siglo XV e inicios del XVI

    With the following article we want to show the importance that La Villa river had for the small madina/villa/ciudad of Antequera (Malaga province) during the Medieval period, both Nasrid and Castilian. Its role of supplying the population, irrigating fields and moving mills, occurs through specific structures, although insufficiently. The transformations after the Christian conquest in 1410, due to extension, not to neglect, coincide with the late demographic growth of the end of fifteenth century and the beginning of sixteenth century
