  • Resumen
    • Italian American community has played an important role in Chicago’s life since the end of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th century. Italians have been able to integrate in city life, though they’ve never lost their identity. Italian strong sense of family and community has led entrepreneurs to expand into ethnical enterprises between the two World Wars and up until today. This ethnical entreprenuership has never lost its original character, and has been able to get over the immigrant colony at the same time. It has opend out in the whole society of Chicago, and in some cases it has also widened out in national and international markets.
