    La aparición de nuevas formas de impresión a finales del s. xix y el gran desarrollo experimentados por éstas a lo largo del xx posibilitó la edición de formatos de grandes dimensiones de forma más habitual. Esta circunstancia nos ha hecho adoptar un nuevo enfoque en la aplicación de la metodología tradicional en la restauración de papel.

    Las peculiaridades de la técnica litográfica y sus dificultades, y, sobre todo, el tamaño de las mismas y sus alteraciones específicas suponen un mundo aparte en la intervención de la obra gráfica.

    El presente artículo pretende hacer una mención de los aspectos inherentes a este tipo de obras y algunas de las posibles soluciones emprendidas durante su intervención.

    The emergence of new forms of printing at the end of the 19th century and the development experienced by these throughout the 20th enabled the editing of large format works on a more regular basis. This circumstance has made us adopt a new approach in the application of the traditional methodology for the restoration of paper.

    The peculiarities of the lithographic technique and its difficulties, and, above all, the size of them and their specific alterations, are a world apart in the restoration of graphic works.

    This article is intended to make mention of the aspects inherent to this type of artworks and some of the possible solutions undertaken during the restoration process.
