Este artículo examina la atención que Nietzsche presta a la cuestión del “mito” en dos obras, El nacimiento de la tragedia y la Segunda intempestiva. Aparentemente en el segundo trabajo el interés por la genealogía como método más eficaz para contrarrestar las aspiraciones de una historiografía presa de sus aspiraciones cientificistas, parece dejar en un segundo plano la apuesta por un “renacimiento del mito alemán” presente en el primer libro. Sin embargo, en la necesidad de pensar una historia que sea compatible con lo ficcional se aprecia una continuidad de la importancia de lo mítico, algo de lo que se han hecho cargo filosofías de la historia actuales que han asumido el legado de Nietzsche

This paper examines Nietzsche attention paid to the issue of “myth” in two works, The Birth of Tragedy and his Second Untimely Meditation. In the latter the interest towards genealogy as the most effective method to counteract the aspirations of a historiography imprisoned by his scientific aspirations, seems to leave in the background the bet on a “rebirth of the German myth” presents in the first book. However, it is possible to recognize a continuity of the importance of “myth” in the idea about a History that supports the fictional, something that has been taken over by contemporary philosophies of History that have assumed Nietzsche’s legacy
