Resumen de El Espacio Significante: desde mi experiencia como autor escénico

En este artículo Jesús Campos nos comenta cómo el empleo de signos no verbales en las estrategias de sus obras fue un factor determinante de su poética. Comienza haciendo referencia a otros autores escénicos que también realizaron la escenografía de sus espectáculos y, tras citar más detenidamente a los que le son más próximos (geográfica y generacionalmente), hace inventario de su labor como escenógrafo, distinguiendo los dispositivos que respondían a necesidades de ambientación o funcionalidad, de aquellos que aportaban informaciones esenciales en el proceso dramático, espacios a los que denomina significantes.

In this article, Jesús Campos brings up how the use of non-verbal signs in the strategies of his plays was a determining factor in his poetics. First of all, reviewing other playwrights who also made their plays scenography and then, after quoting thoroughly the closest ones (geographically and in terms of generation), taking inventory of his work as a scenographer, distinguishing between the devices which meet the needs of setting or functionality and those which contribute essential information to the dramatic process, spaces he refers to as significant.
