  • The article discusses the digital technology counterinsurgency efforts against the terrorist organization the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria's (ISIS's) recruitment efforts on the Internet. An overview of the role that ISIS leadership plays in creating online campaigns supporting the terrorist activity of the group, including their managing online recruitment and videography, is provided. The extremist propaganda espoused by ISIS, including online videos on the web resource YouTube, is discussed
