Resumen de La transculturizacion de los Wayuu y sus repercusiones en el cambio climático

  Los Wayuu, indígenas nómadas de La Guajira, viven en el Norte de Colombia y de Venezuela. Ellos son apegados a su territorio, respetaban su tierra ancestral y vivían en armonía con ella. Se describe su modo de vida, sus costumbres, su vestimenta, y su uso culinario.

  Los Wayuu viven una transculturación desde la llegada de los extranjeros a la península de La Guajira, que se refleja en su adaptación a los aportes culturales o sociales que cambian su relación con la naturaleza. Se volvieron ganaderos con la introducción de animales procedentes de Europa. Es una etnia que sabe apropiarse de lo nuevo, aunque sin pensar en las consecuencias negativas.

  Los Wayuu se enfrentan al cambio climático en su territorio, debido a la deforestación y desertificación ocasionadas por la ganadería. Cuando se altera el equilibrio entre la humanidad y la naturaleza, las ganancias temporales, tarde o temprano, terminan convirtiéndose en pérdidas.

  The Wayuu, nomad natives of The Guajira, live in the North of Colombia and Venezuela. They are attached to their territory, they respected their ancient land and lived in harmony with her. We describe their way of life, traditions, clothing, and culinary use.

  The Wayuu live a transculturation since the arrival of foreigners to their peninsula of The Guajira, that is reflected in their adaptation to the cultural or social contribution that change their relation with nature.

  They became cattle breeders since the introduction of animals from Europe. It is an ethnic group that knows how to appropriate the new things without thinking about the negative consequences.

  The Wayuu are affected by the climatic change in their territory, due to the deforestation and desertification caused by the cattle. When the equilibrium between the humanity and the nature is altered, the temporary profits, sooner or later, end up as a loss.
