    Industry comment Sir Nigel Knowles The window of opportunity for action is closing, so agreement at the upcoming UN talks is vital to ensure stability and growth on a global scale World leaders are meeting in Paris later this month for the annual UN Climate Change conference and, after years of failure to agree a deal to combat the adverse effects of climate change, the signs are positive ahead of the crucial conference.

    2015 is on course to be the hottest year on record and world leaders have been outspoken on the issue. The US and China in particular are making strong pledges and finding common ground in their recognition that failing to act on climate change is having an adverse impact on the planet
