    Hot 100 Alumni Joanne Wheeler, partner, Bird & Bird TMT and satellite partner Joanne Wheeler featured in the Hot 100 two years ago thanks to her role in driving comprehensive regulation in the UK's space and satellite sector, as well as her involvement in several innovative deals.

    Since then, Wheeler has left former firm CMS to join Bird & Bird and map out the practice's strategy and business plan.

    "Bird & Bird had a drone practice but is now introducing a satellite practice," Wheeler says. "Bird & Bird provide the stand because the tech is so much in its DNA. The practice is blossoming into a satellite, energy, finance and drone overlap."
