  Se presentará una exposición sobre la retrospectiva histórica y constructiva de la ciudad de Ibagué y el proceso de Intervención y Restauración del inmueble PANÓPTICO DE IBAGUE COLOMBIA. Más que mostrar la historia de la ciudad y la intervención del inmueble, se desea crear conciencia a nuestro patrimonio construido en Colombia echando un vistazo hacia aquellos inmuebles que ameritan ser conservados y protegidos prolongando y asegurando su memoria y permanencia a las futuras generaciones.

  La ciudad de Ibagué reconocida con su apelativo ciudad musical de Colombia, es una de los municipios fundados a fines del siglo XVI con el nombre de Villa de San Bonifacio de Ibagué del Valle de las Lanzas, pero que hoy en día es preocupante la situación de sus inmuebles y la memoria construida.

  Ciudad reconocida por el cruce de caminos en un sitio estratégico del país que la convierten como punto obligado de paso y descanso, evoca en sus viejas y pocas edificaciones vestigios de una arquitectura ornamental, refinada y moderna que aún se resiste a morir. Edificaciones de carácter republicano tardío, de influencia antioqueña, de imponente modernismo con algunos toques de art dèco en sus fachadas y testimonios culturales en los rostros de sus habitantes que aún viven y sienten en sus celebraciones los aires folclóricos y artísticos de una comunidad, de la región de tierra nevada, la región del Tolima.

  De esta misma tierra nace la imponente, majestuosa e intimidante edificación del Panóptico de Ibagué, nombrado como bien de interés arquitectónico del país. Construcción de planta en cruz griega de estilo neorrománico destinado para albergar reclusos e internos y reconocida como una de las edificaciones más importantes en el patrimonio no solo municipal y regional sino del país y a nivel continental, ya que es una construcción de carácter monumental y de lenguaje propio que aún se mantiene en Latinoamérica de otras tres conocidas, Panóptico de Ciudad de México, Panóptico de Quito y Panóptico de Bogotá Colombia.

  This document will present an exposition on the historic and constructive hindsight of the Ibague city and the process of intervention and PANOPTICON restoration of the real estate property of Ibague itself.

  More than showing the history of the city and the intervention of the real estate property, i wish to make our patrimony constructed in Colombia blaming a look toward those immovables that they require to be preserved and protected conscience extending and insuring your memoir and permanence to the future generations.

  The city of Ibague recognized with his name musical city of Colombia, she is one of the municipalities founded at the end of the XVIth century under the name of Villa of Saint Boniface of Ibague of the Valley of the lances, but that nowadays the situation of its immovables is worrisome and the forged memory.

  City recognized by the crossroads at a strategic place of the country that they convert it like obliged point casually and rest, evoke in your old women and few buildings vestiges of an ornamental, well-educated and modern architecture that still is resisted to death. Buildings of republican overdue, influence character antioqueña, of imposing modernism with some touches of art dèco in their façades and cultural testimonies in the faces of their inhabitants that still they live and folklorics feel in their celebrations resemblances and artistic of a community, of the snow-covered land region, the Tolima's region.

  Of this same land is born the depositor, majestic and daunting building of the Prison of Ibague, nominee like well of architectonic interest of the country. Construction of plant in Greek cross of style romanesque set aside to lodge prisoners and inmates and once one of the most important buildings in the not only municipal and regional but patrimony of the country was acknowledged as and to continental level, since it is a construction of monumental character and of own language that still they keep themselves in Latin America of other three acquaintances, Prison of Mexico City, Prison of Quito and Prison of Bogotá Colombia.
