  El presente artículo hace referencia a una experiencia práctica con una metodología de investigación, acción, y participación denominada photovoice, aplicada a un grupo de personas inmigrantes, procedentes de Ecuador y residentes en Madrid. Dicha metodología, a través de la toma de fotografías y su posterior análisis crítico, permite a las comunidades conocer e identificar sus debilidades, con el objetivo de poder modificarlas y mejorarlas. Se presentan del mismo modo aportaciones para la intervención en Trabajo Social desde la experiencia práctica de la aplicación de la metolodogía photovoice.

  This article discusses a project that used the research, action and participation methodology known as photovoice with a group of Ecuadorian immigrants living in Madrid. This methodology involves the participants being asked to take photographs of their community and subsequently engaging in a critical analysis of them. This process enables the communities to obtain insight into how they conceptualise themselves and their circumstances, in order to modify possible weak points and contribute to community development. Similarly, the authors draw from their practical experience in the application of the photovoice methodology to offer insight into the field of social work intervention.
