A SURVEY of 400 livestock keepers across Great Britain, carried out by the APHA in February this year, has suggested that the majority were satisfied with the overall service provided by the agency.
Publishing the results on its website on July 15, the APHA said that the aim of the survey was to measure its performance and highlight where improvements could be made.
It reports that 78 per cent of livestock keepers were satisfied with the overall service provided by the APHA, with a quarter of these respondents describing themselves as ‘very satisfied’. The mean satisfaction score for its services was 7.4 out of 10. ‘The score has remained consistent throughout the last three years throughout a time of change,’ the APHA remarks.
The survey report identifies four strategies as driving high overall satisfaction: staff and information; processing registrations, approvals and compensations and providing advice and guidance; timeliness; and animal disease and testing.
