  • The recent identification of a case of glanders in a horse in Germany that had never travelled outside of the country serves as a reminder that disease freedom cannot be taken for granted. Here, Sonia Gonzalez-Medina, Balazs Toth and Ian Mawhinney discuss various aspects of glanders, warning that, while an old disease, it can still surprise
