    • AHDB Pork, formerly BPEX, is encouraging pig producers to sign up to a new disease charter which is intended to assist in the control of any outbreak of an emerging or exotic disease.

      The ‘significant diseases charter’ has been produced as part of a contingency plan for dealing with porcine epidemic diarrhoea (PED) which has been drawn up by the Pig Health and Welfare Council. The aim is that pig producers sign up voluntarily to share information quickly with other charter members in the event of a disease outbreak.
