THE RCVS is to hold a free webinar on June 9 to explain the upcoming changes to the Practice Standards Scheme (PSS) that are due to come into effect later this year.
The webinar, ‘The new PSS – the next steps’, will be presented by Jacqui Molyneux, chair of the Practice Standards Group that coordinates the scheme, and Pam Mosedale, veterinary adviser to the PSS. It will begin at 20.00 and will last for about 45 minutes, after which participants will have the chance to ask questions. The webinar will explain how the new scheme, which is due to launch in November, will focus more on outcomes and behaviours. It will also explain how the new ‘awards’ structure will give practices greater scope to demonstrate where they excel and allow for more differentiation between accredited practices.
