  • Resumen
    • I HAVE read several news articles on the recently published research paper in Veterinary Record (Holm and others 2015, see p 384 of this issue) about cutaneous and renal glomerular vasculopathy (CRGV) in dogs, and I am intrigued by the comments regarding the number of dogs visiting the New Forest, which is a high proportion of those known to have contracted the disease.

It prompts me to ask two questions, hoping they might be of interest for further research:

      ▪ The one thing you can guarantee if your dog goes to the New Forest is that at some point it will drink stream or river water. Given this, is there any potential that such consumption could mean dogs pick up microbes passed from animal droppings either in the water or from water catchments surrounding the watercourse?...
