  • A RECENT mental health survey of more than 10,000 practising veterinarians in the USA, conducted by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), has shown that vets are significantly more likely to suffer from psychiatric disorders and experience depressive episodes and thoughts of suicide compared to the general adult population in the USA. The research suggested that almost 10 per cent of vets might have experienced serious psychological distress, and that more than one in six might have contemplated suicide....
