  • THE RCVS has launched a final consultation on the detail of its plans to revise the Practice Standards Scheme (PSS). The new-look scheme is due to be rolled out later this year.

    When the College originally launched the PSS in 2005, it undertook to review it every five years. The first review in 2009 resulted in some changes being made to the scheme (VR, March 27, 2010, vol 166, p 380). Now, following the latest review, a number of ‘significant redevelopments’ have been made. The College says that the changes follow extensive feedback from members of the PSS and the wider profession gained through previous consultations and focus groups, and through the collaborative approach adopted by members of the Practice Standards Group....
