Resumen de Problemática sanitaria del mejillón

En los últimos diez años aparecen, con excesiva frecuencia, toxinas DSP y PSP en los mejillones cultivados en el NW de España.
El conocimiento de éste fenómeno que entraña graves riesgos sanitarios para los consumidores y, tiene grandes repercusiones negativas para el sector mejillonero, necesita el análisis de los muy diversos factores que intervienen en la presencia de biotoxinas en los moluscos bivalvos obtenidos en Galicia.
Se pasa revista a los diversos parámetros que influyen en las aguas de las rías, en las que se cultiva el Mytillus, caracterizadas por su carácter estuarino en zonas templadas, dedicadas durante largos años a explotar éste molusco, y que reciben gran cantidad de efluentes muy ricos en nutrientes que propician una gran riqueza en fitoplacton.
Se plantean algunas cuestiones que están necesitadas de respuesta para, conociendo mejor los fenómenos biológicos propios que contribuyen a la aparición de mareas rojas en esta región española, posibilitar el prevenir, con las máximas garantías sanitarias, la aparición en el mercado de mejillones potencialmente tóxicos.

In the last ten years, appears very often, DSP and PSP toxins in the cultivated Mussels in the North-West of Spain.
The knowledge of this matter that carry out serious sanitary risks for the consumers and have big negative repercussions for the mussels area, it needs the analysis, of the very factors that contribute in the presence of biotoxins in the bivalve mollusc obtained in Galicia.
We study the differents parametres that have an influence on the waters of the estuaries in which Mytillus is cultivated typifild for this estuarin character in warm areas, dedicated for a lot of years to return this mussels and that they get a lot of effluents very valuables in nutriments that cause a big richness in fitoplancton.
Questions to raise which are need of answers for knowing better the biological events that contribute to the appearence of red tides in this Spanish region to prevent with the optimum sanitary guarantees the presence in the marked of mussels potentially toxics.
