    La Real Junta de Obras y Bosques fue creada en los años setenta del siglo XVI por el príncipe don Felipe, en nombre de su padre el rey Carlos I, que en esa época se encontraba fuera de España. Presidida por el rey, se ocupaba del gobierno y construcción de los palacios y alcázares reales, con sus jardines y bosques. Asimismo, tenía a su cargo el control de la caza en los bosques y cotos con privativa jurisdicción en materias de Justicia y Gobierno.

    The Royal Works and Forests Board was created in the seventies of the 16th century by the prince don Philip, in name of his father the king Carlos I, who in this epoch was out of Spain. Presided by the king, it was dealing with the government and construction of the palaces and royal fortresses, with his gardens and forests. Likewise, it had to his post the control of the hunt in the forests and estates with exclusive jurisdiction in matters of Justice and Government.
