Los bosques son ecosistemas imprescindibles para la vida. En la Comunidad de Madrid solo existen bosques secundarios, que han experimentado importantes modificaciones debidas a la intervención del hombre, que los ha utilizado para explotar sus recursos ganaderos y madereros, su leña y sus frutos. Pero precisamente por su importante función económica han sido objeto desde época antigua de legislaciones que intentaron protegerlos. Sin embargo, la peor amenaza de los bosques es su reducción a un problema técnico o de gestión científica, carente de alma y sentimiento.

The forests are indispensable ecosystems for the life. In the Community of Madrid there exist secondary forests, which have experienced important modifications due to the intervention of the man, which it has used to exploit his cattle and rafters resources, his fuelwood and his fruits. But precisely for his important economic function, they have been an object from ancient epoch of legislations that tried to protect them. Nevertheless, the worst threat of the forests is his reduction to a technical problem or of scientific management, lacking in soul and feeling.
