    La evolución de las «Smart Cities» comparte con el Hogar Digital Inteligente (HDI) el enfoque de servicio al ciudadano y de uso de las tecnologías de la Sociedad de la Información y el Conocimiento. Este capítulo desarrolla la visión del HDI desde la perspectiva de mejorar la calidad de vida de las personas en el contexto de la ciudad inteligente, la cual ha de construirse por y para la persona que vive en ella o que transita por ella de forma circunstancial. El HDI requiere contemplar los derechos y necesidades de las personas, ser accesible y «comportarse» de forma segura. El HDI colabora en construir la ciudad inteligente al «relacionarse con ella» intercambiando privadamente la información valiosa para los ciudadano

    The evolution of the «Smart Cities» shares with the Smart Home (SH) an approach to help the citizens and use the technologies of the Information and Knowledge Society. This chapter includes an SH view from the perspective of improving the quality of life of people within the context of the smart city, which has to be built by and for the person who lives in it or which visits it in a circumstantial way. The SH requires to take into account the rights and needs of the people, be accessible and «behave» in a safe way. The SH cooperates to build the smart city when it «interacts with it» by privately exchanging valuable information for citizens.
