  • In Cuba, the earthworks are witnesses of the early settlements of the colonial period, some of these historic buildings of vernacular affiliation have the status of Cultural Heritage, as to merit the most authentic inherited from our ancestors.

    As a partial result of the work has been to demonstrate the richness of the ethnographic heritage evident in the houses built with earth in the city of Trinidad and the Valley of the Sugar Mills, their survival and their transformations express the creativity of a population that forms a recognizable landscape geography, with a particular expression. The use of local materials , making popular expression of their habitat , as raw functionality with aesthetic value characterizes the architecture of this central region of Cuba , governed by hereditary patterns that are the result of cultural mixing and building techniques Spanish, African and Creole
