    • One tries to identify the practice and the historical existence of an office, the pottery of Camagüey, activity inherited from the past, where the mud constituted and constitutes the essential material for the creation of products of ceramics, pottery or faience, prepared for the satisfaction of the needs, with utilitarian intentions: in the construction of houses, vessels, tools and also in ritual, defined for forms, colors and techniques, �as the technique of the measured with a string one� that have been transmitted from generation to generation; lately the artistic type has joined. The pottery in general and the in particular, they were almost on the verge of disappearing some years ago for diverse circumstances. This activity is a part of the material and immaterial cultural heritage of Camagüey and his peoples; in addition to be considering to be an example of tradition and heriditary Good to preserving as legacy the future generations.
