Resumen de La Ermita de Nuestra Señora del Buenviaje. Propuesta para su restauración en el contexto urbano de la Plaza Mayor de Remedios
The Hermitage of Nuestra Señora del Buenviaje is an inexorable part of the history and identity of Remedios. It is located in Main Square, heart of the Historical Center of the eighth village of Cuba, National Monument. It is inventoried with the First Level of Protection and, due to structural problems, it is closed since 2000.
Next to the Parochial of Saint John the Baptist, it conforms a binomial of Catholic temples in the environment of oneself square, a unique case in Cuba. Their towers dominate the urban profile. This research tributes to the conformation of a constructive technical proposal for the conservation of the property as from the elaboration of the theoretical mark that defines the main concepts and interventional principles, the study of national and international examples of similar restorations and the application of a methodology that proposes an analysis from the city scale until the construction, its pathologies and original materials.
