  • Resumen
    • To be able to achieve a participatory rehabilitation in the recovery process of the Historic Center of Old Havana is one of the fundamental purposes of the Office of the City Historian of Havana City, this is why it is necessary to involve the community in decision-making and work on evaluation of programs and project developments in order to accomplish fairness. All experiences regarding this subject have failed due to the lack of systematic sensibility from all actors involved in the process of territory recovery for the consciousness of potential meaningful citizens as active and dynamic. Developing new forms of participation consciousness along with citizens involvement in community decisions, as well as reconciling with governmental authorities, will make possible the socio-cultural revival of the Historic Center, as well as the section of the street San Ignacio, between Muralla and Leonor Pérez, these will be one of the first experiences in the area.
