  A partir de un testamento custodiado en el Archivo Histórico Provincial de La Rioja se descubre la trayectoria de Tomás y Juan Fernández de Medrano y su familia. Esta saga de origen camerano, con vinculación con el Solar de Valdeosera llegó a desempeñar puestos de importancia en la administración española a finales del siglo XVI y comienzos del siglo XVII. Hasta la fecha era totalmente desconocida para la historiografía riojana.

  The trajectory of Tomás and Juan Fernández de Medrano and their family is discovered from a testament kept in the Archivo Provinical de La Rioja. This saga has its origin in the Cameros area, being linked with the Solar of Valdeosera. It came to hold positions of importance in the Spanish administration in the late sixteenth and early seventeenth century. To date was totally unknown to the Rioja historiography.
