El presente trabajo tiene como objetivo reflexionar en torno a las disfuncionalidades que se observan en la Universidad española como Institución encargada de la transmisión de saberes.
La construcción de la sociedad del conocimiento, y la implantación y universalización de las nuevas tecnologías, obliga a repensar el papel de la docencia universitaria.
La Geografía como disciplina de larga tradición histórica, también se ha visto inmersa en este proceso de indeterminación, por lo que hemos creído interesante repensar cuales son los conocimientos que han de transmitirse en este nuevo marco evolutivo.

This paper aims to reflect on the dysfunctions observed in the Spanish University as an institution responsible for the transmission of knowledge. The construction of the knowledge society, and the implementation and universalization of new technologies, forces us to rethink the role of university teaching.
Geography as a discipline steeped in history, has also been immersed in the process of uncertainty, so we thought interesting to rethink what the knowledge to be transmitted in this new evolutionary framework.
