Caminos entre el río y el mar: Residentes y turistas en zonas y realidades dispares "Cidade do Sol" - Natal - RN (Brasil)

    Este trabajo surge en base a la obra Ciudades Invisibles de Ítalo Calvino (1990), donde se lee "que a veces existen ciudades diferentes en la misma tierra y con el mismo nombre, que nacen y mueren sin conocerse, incomunicadas entre sí". Este artículo posee carácter fenomenológico-cualitativo y aborda la representación socio-espacial de Natal-RN- Brasil según la perspectiva de los turistas y los residentes, permitiendo comprobar sus experiencias dispares. Con el objetivo de realizar una reflexión acerca de la segregación socio-espacial y el turismo (pobreza-riqueza, centro-periferia). Esta investigación aborda el fenómeno considerando la diferencia entre la ciudad de Natal y "Cidade do Sol" a través de videos producidos por residentes (documental local "As Ruas do Rio" - 2009) y turistas (registros posteados en Internet - 2007 a 2010). Se realizó un análisis de contenido comparativo entre las realidades de los dos sujetos de estudio. El estudio muestra pocas semejanzas y muchas disparidades en la representación de lo urbano, evidenciando la existencia de dos extremas realidades bastante distintas, injustas y desequilibradas; que refleja un modelo, recurrente en Brasil, de la actuación gubernamental; que concentra sus acciones socio-espaciales en áreas específicas (turísticas).

    This article was developed understanding "that sometimes different cities follow on the same site and have the same name, born and die without knowing" (Ítalo Calvino, 1990 - The Invisible Cities). The research has a phenomenological-qualitative character using the social representation of Natal-RN from the perspective of tourists and residents, believing that they have disparate experiences in the urban. The objective is to realize a reflection of segregation and tourism (poverty-richness, center-periphery) discussing about the dissimilarity between the city of Natal and "Sun City", studying videos produced by residents (local documentary "As Ruas do Rio"- 2009) and tourists (videos posted on the Internet - 2007 to 2010). By a comparative analysis of the realities of these two subjects, the research shows a few similarities and many differences in the representation of the city, showing the existence of two extreme and distinct realities, unjust and unequal reflection of a recurrent model in Brazil, with governmental performance that focuses socio and spatial actions on specific areas (tourism).
