Resumen de Azedero da Silveira e a diplomacia da integracao continental

This presentation has intends to observe the politics Brazilian diplomatics it enters the years of 1974 and 1979, period in which the Itamaraty was under command of Ambassador Azeredo da Silveira. During these five years, Silveira left a legacy of reorientation of the Brazilian diplomatical lines of direction; when disengaging the country of its traditional circuit of international relations (with Argentina, United States and Portugal), surpassing the equally traditional politics of the �official cordiality�, the Brazilian chancellery assumed new position that it aimed at to increase an international insertion, pointing out the country in the vast agenda South American, European diplomatics, mediumoriental and Afro-Asian. Its last objective rested in the yearning of internationalizing brazilian�s foreign affairs and, in this context, it forges it of the continental integration (and the regional leadership of decurrent it) start to be pressing subjects of the national agenda

O presente trabalho tem como objetivo observar a política diplomática brasileira entre os anos de 1974 e 1979, período no qual o Itamaraty esteve sob comando do Embaixador Azeredo da Silveira. Durante estes cinco anos em que esteve à frente do Itamaraty, Silveira deixou um legado de reorientação das diretrizes diplomáticas brasileiras; ao desengajar o país de seu circuito tradicional de relações internacionais (com Argentina, Estados Unidos e Portugal), superando a igualmente tradicional politica da �cordialidade oficial�, a chancelaria brasileira assumiu nova postura que visava potencializar uma inserção internacional, situando o país na vasta agenda diplomática sul-americana, europeia, médiooriental e afro-asiática. Seu objetivo último repousava no anseio de mundialização das relações exteriores do Brasil e, neste contexto, a forja da integração continental (e a liderança regional dela decorrente) passam a ser temas prementes da agenda nacional
