Resumen de BVA: BVA briefing for parliamentarians

• THE BVA held a briefing at the House of Commons on October 20 to encourage parliamentarians to engage with the veterinary profession. The aim of the event was to give MPs and peers an opportunity to speak to BVA representatives about current issues affecting their constituents or coming up in Parliament.

  The briefing was hosted by Huw Irranca-Davies, Labour MP for Ogmore, who is a BVA honorary associate. Twenty-four MPs and peers attended, including George Eustice, Defra minister of state for farming, food and the marine environment, Kerry McCarthy, the shadow environment secretary, and Baroness Parminter, the environment spokesperson for the Liberal Democrats.
