  • Hysolv Animal Health is offering veterinary surgeons in the UK and Ireland a free laboratory diagnostic testing service for swine influenza. It says it will supply vets with kits to enable them to take nasal or blood samples from pig herds that they suspect are infected with the virus. The samples will then be sent to Germany for testing by the Institute for Virus Diagnostics, which is part of the Federal Research Institute for Animal Health. The testing is being sponsored by the vaccine and biologicals company IDT Biologika.
