  • EUROPEAN animal welfare organisation Eurogroup for Animals is calling for the rules on pet identification and registration to be harmonised across the EU. It believes that such a move would help tackle the illegal pet trade in Europe, by linking animals to an owner, and make the cross-border movement of animals more transparent and safe.
