  • Resumen
    • In this contribution, we have been aimed to show the paradigm of fragmentation that is present at the universities nowadays, how it has been generated and potential ways for a healthy restoration. In order to do so, we have closely followed the ideas of Alasdair MacIntyre. The paper is organized in several parts. Firstly, we have briefly explored the historical and gnoseological foundations of the “modern” university and the way it generates a rather large repertoire of “things that are impossible to reach”. Secondly, we have dealt with the diagnostic of this problem described by MacIntyre. Finally, we have proposed various steps for a reconstruction where philosophical and theological studies should play a crucial role in the interdisciplinary environment in which all the sciences should be taught at the universities.
