Resumen de The Illustration of Multistability

Guy Schmitz, Ljiljana Kolar Anic, Slobodan Anic, Zeljko Cupic

  • Multistability, a phenomenon that can appear in certain nonlinear systems, is usually described by discussing the possible steady-state solutions of some nonlinear process as given by an abstract mathematical model having a single variable and one or more control or bifurcation parameters. In the present paper, the model of a real reaction is offered: the illustration of multistability is carried out on a model for the hydrogen peroxide decomposition into water and oxygen in the presence of iodate and hydrogen ions, the Bray-Liebhafsky oscillatory reaction.
