  • The idea for the Periodicar came to me as a way to force my students to think about and explain chemistry at any hour of the day. I imagined myself chuckling as I drove past my students who would be driving or walking with a friend, knowing they would have to spend the next five minutes explaining the who, what, why, when, and how of such a weird car. It would be a community conversation-piece focused on science.
