Patrimonio, turismo y transfiguraciones en las relaciones identidarias: El Pelourinho (Salvador - Bahia) y Porto Rico (Paraná), Brasil

    Este artículo analiza las experiencias de refuncionalización del centro histórico de Pelourinho en Salvador, Bahia, y de la Fiesta de Nossa Senhora dos Navegantes en Porto Rico, Paraná. Las mismas implicaron transformaciones espaciales e identitarias en ambas localidades brasileñas debido a la incorporación del patrimonio cultural y ambiental de esas ciudades al mercado turístico. El método de investigación es de naturaleza cualitativa, descriptiva y exploratoria y se basa en la observación directa y en el análisis de contenido de notas periodísticas, entrevistas y testimonios orales. En los dos casos, analizados en base al concepto de gobernanza, no hubo participación democrática y directa de la comunidad en la planificación y gestión de las propuestas de transformación del patrimonio material e inmaterial. No obstante, aún se está a tiempo de involucrar a los actores, de oír a las comunidades, de organizar foros de debate y encuentros de socialización del conocimiento, buscando contribuir con la sustentabilidad del turismo y el desarrollo socioeconómico local.

    Heritage, Tourism and Transfiguration in the Cultural Itendity Relations and in the Spaces of Pelourinho (Salvador - Bahia) and Porto Rico (Parana), Brazil. This paper analyses the experiences of the change in the function of the historic center of Pelourinho, in Salvador, Bahia, and the Our Lady of Navigators Celebration, in Porto Rico, Parana, entailing spatial and identity transformations in both Brazilian localities due to the insertion of their cultural and environmental heritage in the tourist market. The investigation method was of qualitative, descriptive and exploratory and consisted of direct observation and content analysis of media reports, interviews and speeches of oral history. In the two cases examined, based on the concept of governance, there were no democratic and direct community participation in planning and management of the proposed transformation of tangible and intangible heritage. There is still time to involve the actors, hearing communities through the organization of discussion forums and socialization of knowledge meetings, aiming at contributing to the sustainability of tourism and local socioeconomic development.
