Tratamiento osteopático en una lesión por Whiplash. Caso clínico.

    Introducción: El vértigo posicional paroxístico benigno (VPPB) es una entidad muy común dentro de toda la patología vertiginosa; es el más común de todos los vértigos de origen periférico.

    Hoy en día las terapias manuales para esta enfermedad han evolucionado mucho; ya que hay una numerosa bibliografía y las terapias son altamente efectivas.

    Debido a la alta incidencia de esta patología en la sociedad nuestros objetivos en dicho estudio han sido: comprobar que las técnicas manuales y de fisioterapia son efectivas en el tratamiento de estas patologías y la dificultad de ejecución de las mismas; valorar si las técnicas manuales se realizan en la actualidad; Para poder realizarlo utilizamos las siguientes bases de datos: MEDLINE-PUBMED y la Biblioteca Virtual de Salud, la cual incluía a LILACS, SCIELO, MEDLINE Y COCHRANE LIBRARY; además se utilizaron varias herramientas del idioma: diccionario y el traductor de idiomas que incorpora Google.

    Los resultados principales de este estudio fueron que: las técnicas manuales y de fisioterapia son efectivas entre un 70% y un 97%, y de las cuales la más utilizada fue la maniobra de Epley. También se concluyó que dentro de todos los VPPB, el más común es el que afecta al conducto semicircular posterior.

    Por tanto concluimos que el tratamiento manual ofrece unos excelentes resultados en esta patología y que cada vez con más frecuencia y centros las aplican. Es una vía muy interesante debido a que con un correcto diagnóstico y un tratamiento relativamente sencillo obtenemos excelentes resultados.

    Introduction: The benign paroxysmal positional vertigo is a very common issue in of all dizzy pathology; it is the most common of all vertigos of peripheral cause.

    Nowadays the manual therapies for this illness are developing a lot of, since there is a lot of bibliography and the therapies are very effective.

    Due to high incidence of this pathology in the society, our objectives in this study are: confirm that this manual technique and of physiotherapy are effective in the treatment of these pathology and the difficulty of carrying out of she; Also value to if this manual technique itself carry out at present.

    For can carry out this study use the follow database: MEDLINE-PUBMED and virtual library of salud, which have LILACS, SCIELO, MEDLINE Y COCHRANE LIBRARY; Also was used several instruments of idiom how a dictionary and the program that have Google.

    The principal result of this study was that: the manual techniques and of physiotherapist are effective's between a 70% and 97%, and which the more used is Epley manoeuvre. Also we conclude that into of all bppv the most common is that affected the posterior semicircular canal.

    How conclusion can say that the manual treatment offers a excellent result in this pathology and that with more frequents and centre used. It is a way more interesting debited to with a corrects diagnosis and a easy relative treatment can get excellent result.
