Resumen de Criterios bíblicos para la fundamentación y el trabajo por los Derechos Humanos

El artículo plantea la posibilidad de encontrar en la raíz judeo-cristiana de la cultura occidental, y concretamente en la Biblia, criterios que fundamenten la formulación de la dignidad humana y su positivización en sistemas jurídicos y la exigencia de la defensa de los derechos humanos. Para ello expone algunos principios hermenéuticos con los cuales ha de ser abordado el texto bíblico y, a continuación, expone cinco criterios globales que nacen de la interpretación bíblica y que fundamentan el trabajo por los derechos humanos.

This paper proposes the possibility of discovering in the Christian-Jewish roots of the Western culture, and specifically in the Bible, criteria that structure the formulation of human dignity and its positivization in the diverse legal systems and the following requirement of defending human rights. In order to achieve this purpose, the paper exposes some interpretative principles which should be used when the biblical text is studied. Following this, the paper presents five global aspects that rise from biblical interpretation and which establish the bases of the mission underlying the work for human rights.
