    The Influence of Language Assessment (ELE) is a project set up by the Chartered Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa in 2014. It seeks to anticipate, identify and evaluate the possible influences that could be exerted by private and public projects and activities on the local language reality, and should they exert a harmful effect on the situation of Basque and the community of Basque speakers, to implement measures to limit them and remain one step ahead of them.

    Basque-speaking localities that are breathing spaces for Basque in particular are the sphere of application of the project to protect the areas that are in a good sociolinguistic situation, even though it could be applied in all the other areas. This article presents the ELE's evaluation procedure step by step, and also offers a number of criteria for monitoring the measures that will need to be taken in the light of the conclusions of the evaluation.

    Eragin linguistikoaren ebaluazioa (ELE) Gipuzkoako Foru Aldundiak 2012an abian jarritako proiektua da. Bere xedea, lurralde eremu jakin bateko (auzo, herri, hiri, eskualde) proiektu eta jarduera pribatu zein publikoek bertako errealitate linguistikoan izan ditzaketen balizko eraginak aurreikustea, identifikatzea, ebaluatzea da, eta euskararen eta euskal hiztun elkartearen egoerari kalterik eraginez gero, horiek murrizteko eta aurrea hartzeko neurriak hartzea.

    Egitasmoaren aplikazio eremua, bereziki, euskararen arnasgune diren herri euskaldunak dira, egoera soziolinguistiko onean dauden eremuak babesteko, nahiz eta gainerako eremuetan ere aplikatu ahal izango den. Artikulu honetan, ELEren ebaluazio prozedura aurkeztuko da, urratsez urrats, eta ebaluazioaren ondorioen arabera haurtu beharreko neurrien jarraipena egiteko hainbat irizpide ere eskainiko dira.
