  The recently implemented landscape policy has opened up a good opportunity to incorporate the language perspective effectively once and for all into the planning tools for spatial organisation. This is because the elements that the landscape concept sets out to control do not belong exclusively to the sphere of nature conservation or territorial perception: cultural heritage is also an important part of the landscape. And as it is impossible to talk about cultural heritage without taking language heritage into consideration as well, when it comes to protecting, organising and managing the Basque Country's landscape, the intrinsic cultural wealth of the Basque language can no longer be ignored, nor with respect to the spatial organisation that has to coordinate landscape and environmental policy.

  Paisaia-politika ezarri berriak aukera egokia ireki diezaioke hizkuntza-ikuspegia lurralde-antolakuntzako plangintza-tresnetan modu eraginkorrean behingoz txertatzeari. Paisaiaren kontzeptuarekin kontrolatu nahi diren elementuak ez baitira soilik natur babesaren eremukoak edo lurralde-pertzepzioaren alorrekoak: ondare kulturala ere paisaiaren zati garrantzitsua da. Eta ezinezkoa denez ondare kulturalaz hitz egitea hizkuntza-ondarea ere kontuan eduki gabe, Euskal Herriko paisaia babesteko, antolatzeko eta kudeatzeko, euskararen berezko altxor kulturala ezin da gehiago alboratu, baita paisaia- eta ingurumen-politikak koordinatu behar dituen lurralde-antolakuntzari dagokionean ere.
