Resumen de Hizkuntza-ekologia paradigma: ekologiaren begirada hizkuntzen babeserako

  This article is based on a presentation given in February 2005 at the 2nd Conference on Language Ecology, Territory and Language in Donostia-San Sebastian, and a number of additional ideas and references that were not said or included at the time have been incorporated into the article. This presentation proposes a route that has a spiral shape and symbology and which seeks to represent a dynamic, accumulative system, and so 5 stopping points are made. As the starting point, an explanation is provided as to why ecology is concerned about languages; secondly, when, how and on what levels the view of ecology towards languages emerges; thirdly, a proposal is made for an ecological diagnosis of the language diversity we have in the Basque Country; and fourthly, a leap is taken to the practical applicability of the ecological perspective by bringing the principles, concepts and techniques of the science of ecology and sustainability to management between languages and between these languages and their contexts. The way of sustainability is applied to the aim to normalise Basque (and all languages). And finally the conclusions are gathered together.

  Artikulu honen oinarria 2005ko otsailean Donostian izandako Hizkuntza-ekologia Lurraldea eta Hizkuntza II. Jardunaldietan (LUHI2) egindako aurkezpena da, bertan esan eta bildu ez ziren beste zenbait ideia eta erreferentzia gehigarrirekin osatua. Espiralaren forma eta sinbologia hartzen duen eta sistema dinamiko eta metagarria irudikatu nahi duen ibilbidea proposatzen da aurkezpenean eta, bide honetan, 5 geldiune egiten dira. Abiapuntu gisara, ekologiak hizkuntzekiko kezka zergatik duen azaltzen da. Bigarrenik, ekologiaren begirada hizkuntzetara, noiz, nola eta zein mailatan ematen den ikusten da; Hirugarrenik, Euskal Herrian dugun hizkuntza aniztasunaren diagnosi ekologikorako proposamena egiten da; Laugarren geltokian, ekologiaren begiradaren aplikagarritasun praktikora salto egiten da, ekologia zientziaren eta jasangarritasunaren printzipio, kontzeptu eta teknikak hizkuntzen arteko, eta hizkuntza hauen eta bere testuinguruen kudeaketara, ekarriaz. Jasangarritasunaren bidea euskararen (eta hizkuntza guztien) normalizazio helburura aplikatzen da. Azken geldiunean, ondorioak biltzen dira.
