Fibrosis quística, una enfermedad hereditaria: Experiencia de una madre sobre la enfermedad. Un futuro repleto de colores

    Objetivo: Dar a conocer el impacto de la enfermedad en niños afectados y en sus familias, así como la adhesión al tratamiento, calidad de vida, y afrontamiento día a día de la enfermedad.

    Método: Se realiza un estudio cualitativo a través del relato bibliográfico de una madre cuyo hijo tiene fibrosis quística.

    Resultados: Se expone de forma clara y cercana la experiencia sobre la enfermedad.

    Conclusiones: En la actualidad la enfermería tiene un papel muy importante en la salud sanitaria, siendo en muchas ocasiones el nexo de unión del enfermo con el sistema sanitario.

    El paciente reclama mayor conocimiento sobre sus cuidados de enfermedad y apoyo psicosocial por parte de la enfermería. En el impacto de la enfermedad en un niño, se debe no sólo conocer cómo afectará a sus padres sino qué cuidados por parte de enfermería debe ofrecer.

    Objective: To know the impact of the disease in affected children and their families, as well as adherence to treatment, quality of life and everyday coping of the disease.

    Method: A literature review on the basis on the subject, in which no published studies that expose the biographical story of a mother whose child has the disease occurs is performed.

    Results: It is stated clearly and closely follows the experience of the disease.

    Conclusions: Today people expect in society that health care institutions are characterized by ethical values and good work. Ethics is now a rising valor in society and in sanitary institutions. In light of the historical evolution of the ethics of health care institutions, we can see at the ethical criteria are the most important basis of overall assessment of the institutions of this kind.
