  • There was a time when two-year colleges were considered to be pre-university institutions, widely seen as intended for students who were "not quite ready" to tackle the rigors of a four-year university. While this perception has faded, some people still only have limited familiarity with the true mission of two-year colleges and the full range of work force development programs and services available through these colleges today.
