  En el presente trabajo se aborda la cuestión del mal en Zubiri partiendo del curso que el filósofo dedicó a este problema en el año 1964. Se mostrará que allí el mal, en sus diferentes dimensiones (maleficio, malicia, malignidad y maldad), acaba siendo reducido al enfoque privativo tradicional.Pero lo cierto es que la filosofía de Zubiri permite ir más allá de la mera privación hacia una conceptualización del mal más radical, tanto desde un punto de vista trascendental como moral. Si Zubiri no dio pasos en esta dirección es porque en él influyeron razones teológicas, es decir, no estrictamente filosóficas.

  The present paper is focused on the problem of the evil in Zubiri’s philosophy. The starting point are the lectures from 1964 which deal with this issue and which show that the evil in its different dimensions is after all reducible to the conventional negative approach. Nevertheless, it is certain that Zubiri’s philosophy enables us to conceive the evil in a more radical way, not as a merenegation, both in its transcendental and moral aspects. And if Zubiri does not explore this possibility it is due to theological, and not strictly philosophical reasons.
